I found it heart stopping and it certainly did not glamorize war. If you enjoyed this title, try reading Soldier Boys by Dean Hughes. This book also takes place during WWII and is written from both an American and German soldier's point of view. (Mrs. Boccuzzi-Reichert)

The writer gave us many suspects which led us to solve the murder mystery. She used many descriptive words which led us to feel that we were actually there. One of the most suspenseful parts was when Cici gets shot at. We could feel the emotions and tell how fearful she was that someone that she may have trusted all of her life could be a murderer.
We loved the book because it made us think about what was coming next. This book led us to create many questions. One of the questions was, why did Cici’s grandmother die right before we found out who the killer was? We all had many more interesting questions. It was a very good book that was so exciting.

I read a book by Ann M. Martin this year too, called ACorner of the Universeand it was also sad. It had a semi-happy ending though and it actually was a really good book! This one sound very sad and I don't think I would want to read it. Good job though!
